Christians vs. the USA

Posted in Politics, Religion at 6:47 am by Administrator

Why is the United States of America seemingly denying it’s Christian roots so vigorously? Most of the blame can be placed on Christians themselves.

On the surface one could say approximately 70% of Americans aren’t denying their Christian roots. These work, play and pray in their communities across the land. These mind their own business and are not beating people over the head with their particular religious beliefs.

But when media sources bombard you with pop-culture ideology several impressions can be assumed. One, most people are not religious. Secondly, religious people are narrow-minded. And finally, religiosity is not cool or popular in today’s culture. The media successfully controls the negativity and stereo-typing of today’s Christian narrative.

Historically, Christians are the blame for the impressions of them today. Many of their leaders have taken a distorted view of the Biblical message and literally beaten and/or killed in its name. The dark ages Crusades comes to mind immediately.

For centuries church and state combined to rule people. Religious leaders sat next to kings and queens advising them on everything from daily living to national policy. Their source of power was the threat of revoking a person’s eternal life and sending people to hell!

The United States was founded by a bunch of rebellious people wanting the separation of church and state. They opted for religious freedom only to have their ancestors eventually be caught up in the same judgmental trap the founding fathers wanted to avoid.

Fire and brimstone preaching became the standard message in the 1800’s. Witch beatings/burnings and KKK-type hangings sent a judgmental message throughout society. This judgmentalism pushed people away from Jesus of the Bible.

In the 1900’s religious judgmentalism became more civilized and non-believers were merely shunned by church societies. Consequently, the rebellious nature of man took hold in society through a permissive, political climate and filled the religion void with secular humanism.

Along comes the hippie culture in the 1960’s and it became a counter-Christian culture movement of freedom from religious judgmentalism. Ironically, the hippies grew up and birthed today’s judgmental political-correctness movement. These politically aim to control what people think about everything including religion. They ignore many societal Biblical beliefs.

Take your mind off the irrational and get fictionalized with the 1 Law 4 All series. Politicians’ secret lives exposed as you can only imagine.

So, where did some people that called themselves Christians go wrong? They misinterpreted the fundamental Biblical message. They are to love people through their problems and adventures while maintaining a strong relationship with EVERYONE’s Savior, Jesus.

Christians need to realize that Jesus is alive today. They have accepted Him as the missing spiritual piece of their being leading to internal peace and eternal life. A further realization they need to grasp is that everyone’s eternal life is a personal choice. A Christian’s spiritual job is to model, assist and educate others about the love they feel in their relationship with Jesus, the Christ.

Don’t be surprised to soon learn of Muslims converting to Christianity. ISIS beware. The witch burning thing didn’t work out so well for Christians. Look at the bedlam the USA. The unemployment, debt, socialized/rationing of healthcare, decaying cities, riots, the loss of the American dream, etc. are situations made for the media to exploit.

The hippies had one thing right – Love Conquers All. It’s a matter of whose love are we talking about.

Three things Christians can do to help turn around things in the USA. One is to have a personal relationship with Jesus. This is the most important. They can introduce Jesus to people around them. And finally, VOTE OUT THE BUMS – every incumbent every election. The USA needs fresh people and ideas in Government.
