From Crusades to the Arab Revolution

The Arab revolution is an interesting development of the Middle East. Revolts in Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Yemen, Sudan and Algeria prove there will be a new global power in the near future to contend with. The countries in revolution make up the southeastern corner of the Mediterranean Sea region. Pieced together they conjure up memories of Saladin and the Ayyubid dynasty.

During the First Crusade, the siege of Jerusalem, Jews fought with Muslims to defend Jerusalem against the Crusaders. Truth be told, Crusaders indiscriminately massacred Jews and Muslims alike. Estimates of 20,000 to 30,000 Jews were slaughtered by Crusaders.

Subsequent Crusades ended favorably for the Muslims. Saladin, the Sultan of Egypt, recaptured Jerusalem during the third Crusade. Saladin, adhering to the teachings of Islam, did not slaughter the city’s Christian and Jewish inhabitants. Instead, Saladin’s noble act won him the respect of his opponents and many people throughout the world.

Upon the capture of Jerusalem, Saladin summoned the Jews and permitted them to resettle in the city. In particular, the residents of Ashkelon, a large Jewish settlement, responded to his request.

Saladin presided over the Ayyubid dynasty after taking Jerusalem.Egypt was the center of Saladin’s dynasty. After the crusades, Saladin became admired by both Christians and Muslims for his chivalry and noble character. When the pieces of the current Arab revolution complete the puzzle and the picture is clear. The only question is will their leaders emulate Saladin?

Let us examine the primary players of the Arab revolution.

Al-Jazeera, the Qatar-based television station, continues to play the bad boy in the Middle East. Hailing the principles of free expression, so rare in the Arab world, it appointed itself to trigger nothing less than a revolution in this region.

The Muslim Brotherhood was formed in Egypt in 1928, initially part of the resistance to British control. Reports from on the ground in Egypt, Jordan and Tunisia link the three inflamed countries to the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Society of Muslim Brotherhood is a fundamentalist international organization whose goals are the conversion of Muslim countries into states ruled by Sha’aria law, the re-establishment of the Caliphate and ultimately, world dominion. The Muslim Brotherhood’s ideology, which insists that Islam is a prescription for governance as well as religion, is the prototypical example of Islamism. Their slogan is self-explanatory: “God is our purpose, the Prophet our leader, the Qur’an our constitution, Jihad our way and dying for God’s cause our supreme objective.

The ominous people that groomed B.H. Obama for the presidency and eventually got him elected welcome the Arab revolution in the Middle East. Obama’s mission is clear – be a sympathizer to Middle East riots and facilitate the takeovers by the likes of the Muslin Brotherhood. He is accomplishing this task with his politically correct attitude and tolerance at all costs for his Muslim brothers.

One comment by Aviad Pohoryles in the daily Maariv was entitled “A Bullet in the Back from Uncle Sam.” This article indirectly confirms the Obama administration’s ‘all talk, no action’ philosophy. The article accused Obama and his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of pursuing a naive, smug, and insular diplomacy heedless of the risks. Quote, “The politically correct diplomacy of American presidents throughout the generations … is painfully naive.”

Two dynamic processes are happening right before our eyes. One is the Arab liberation revolution. The second process is the acceleration of the decline of the West. Right before our eyes the superpowers are turning into palaver powers.

All corrupt U.S. politicians are standing naively aside and are simple-mindedly watching the Arab revolution take place. There is one politician that understands what the Arab revolution means. This congressman from Florida specifically explains in just over a minute the truth about Islam. Click on link below.

When Saladin left Egypt and marched to Syria, he was dreaming of forming a strong united front to face the crusaders. Are groups like the Muslim Brotherhood dreaming the same dream with their enemy being western civilization? Is the goal of this Arab revolution to revive Saladin’s Ayyubid dynasty?

“European merchants supply the best weaponry, contributing to their own defeat.” Saladin

Epilogue: An Afghan physiotherapist will be executed within three days for converting to Christianity. If this is Afghanistan’s idea of democracy, what the hell are our troops dying for?
